This is a Prom Checklist and Planning Guide that will help you make this experience an enjoyable, and smooth process.
You really should begin to plan several weeks in advance of your Prom Night to make sure you don’t uncover any unpleasant last minute surprises. We have outlined this in three parts. Each part should be considered 30 days. In this example we will consider the first part to be approximately 90 days in advance of your Prom Night.
Part 1 – Getting Started (90 days out)
You will first need to decide if you will be accepting an invitation to be escorted by a Date, or if you will be planning to go to the Prom in a “Group”
* Start shopping for your prom dress. ( Go to: Unique Prom Dresses Website (http://uniquepromdresses.net).
* Order your limousine and keep a record of who you talked to.
* Start working out a bit to tone your muscles. (Remember… you will be taking photos)
* Start your prom skin care regiment to prevent breakouts before they get bad
* Make restaurant reservations and be sure to make a note of who you talked to on your Pre-Prom Checklist
* Order your Unique Prom Dress from Unique Prom Dresses for the best selection and prices.
Part 2 – Review Progress and Update Checklist ( 60 days out)
* Do you need to make a prom dress alteration appointment? (have you lost or gained any weight recently)
* Order prom shoes from Unique Prom Dresses (http://uniquepromdresses.net)
* Make a prom hair appointments. (Make a note of this on your Pre-Prom Checklist).
* Make a prom manicure appointment.
* Shop for matching corsages and boutonniere at the Flower shop link on Unique Prom Dresses Website (http://uniquepromdresses.net)
* Purchase accessories to match your prom dress (go to the accessory checklist page on Unique Prom Dresses website (http://uniquepromdresses.net).
* Purchase a handbag to match your prom dress.
Part 3 - Final Walk through (30 days out)
* Order prom make-up that matches your prom dress
* Purchase clear deodorant and begin to wear it often to make sure you are not allergic to it.
* Purchase dance tickets.
* Break in your prom shoes by wearing them from time to time.
* Start drinking lots of water as opposed to juices to avoid bloating. (remember…you will look at you Prom pictures for the rest of your life!)
* Have your prom dress tailored or altered if you need to. (did you lose or gain any weight in recent weeks?)
* Consider having a trial prom hairdo completed if you want to. (see our Great Hair Tips).
* You my want to stop shaving so that when you can get a bikini & underarm wax, it will turn out better.
* Check your restaurant reservations.
* Check your prom limousine reservations.
* Do some experimenting with sunless tanning lotion.
* Get a manicure a few days before your Prom Night.
* Take your prom dress home and keep it in a safe dry place.
Prom Dress Tip: Prom Dresses should be kept in a dry room, or closet with very little humidity. It is best to hang your prom dress over a chair instead of hanging it up. Hang your prom dress like pants folded over a large hanger if you need to hang it up. Make sure to keep your Prom Dress gently folded and stored in the Dress Bag that it came in.
* Steam your Prom Dress if needed.
Tip: (You can steam your Prom Dress by hanging it in your Bathroom when you take a hot shower!)
